Different cities have different features. I was living in an industrial city, which is big but polluted. The air pollution is the most serious problem. People could not breathe clean air unless they woke up early in the morning and went to parks which are full of tress and grasslands. Certainly, usually we cannot see animals in the city except in wildlife refuges which are built by the government to protect them. One reason for this problem is that factories release polluted air or chemical air into the sky; also the air from the car makes the problem worse. The government could not control the industrial air release completely, so they have began to invent new resources, which are harmless to environment. However, Carbondale is a nice city, for the air is clean all the time. Also I can see some animals everywhere, such as squirrels and deer.

Carbondale is just a city which is suitable for people to live in. It is always quiet and the air is clean. Most people in Carbondale are students, so, to some extent, it is safer than other cities. This place is a little bit boring sometimes, because it does not have so many places for entertainment, while it is good for students to study absolutely. And it is not far away from bigger cities such as St. Louis and Chicago if you want to have fun on vacation. I was living in a noisy and crowded city which is famous for its industry in China, so the air pollution is really a serious problem. Contrasting with that, a good environment is the most important factor for me to choose a place to live in. In addition, the climate here is better than my hometown. It is warmer in winter and the sunshine is nicer in summer.
